Prevocational Training & Supportive Employment Services

Project EMPLOY is 7TH & Madison Extensions of Empowerment accredited, employment placement and training program for adults with intellectual and related developmental disabilities.

Employment Specialists assist individuals gain meaningful, rewarding employment, while Employment Training Specialists provide on-the-job support that includes both intensive training and long-term follow-along, learning to get to and from work, and co-worker socialization.

 7TH & Madison in collaboration with the individual, will develop strategies to assist the individual in reaching each personally defined outcome related to the Supported Employment services. These strategies must be completed within 15 calendar days of the date the individual begins to receive Supported Employment services.

Supported Employment services can be provided to anyone who is in need of assistance in finding or keeping competitive employment in the general workforce. The need for Supported Employment services will typically be identified through the Pathway to Employment discussion that takes place during the person centered planning process and documented in the Person Centered Planning Tool (PCPT).
